Making your own baby food doesn't have to be complicated or stressful! I actually really enjoyed making my own baby food. I knew exactly the ingredients going into to & I found it cheaper then buying store brand baby food. I also found that I got more bang for my buck....meaning with making my own baby food I was able to make much more then the containers at the store.
This recipe is super simple, won't take long to make & will be perfectly portioned for your baby. All you need is 1 (or 2) ingredients & ice cube trays....yes, it's that easy!!
- Frozen bag of peas
- water (if too thick)
Directions: cook the frozen bag of peas according to package. Once cooked place the peas in a blender or food processor. Start blending..if you notice that it's too thick add a little bit of water. Once the peas are nicely blended and there are no chunks, spoon it into an ice cube tray. Freeze the peas for a couple hours or overnight. After freezing, pop them out and place into a zip lock bag.
Depending on how old your baby is, 1-2 cubes will be plenty to eat. Heat up 1-2 cubes for 10-15secs. Hope your baby enjoys your homemade baby food!
Or if your baby is teething, you can also put 1 frozen cube into a mesh feeder and let your baby enjoy soothe their gums.
