Pregnancy is different for all women but we all need some essentials to make it through those 9 months. These are my Top 10 Must Haves that have definitely made this pregnancy a little easier and I hope these will help you too!!
.) Boppy Pregnancy Body Pillow Trust me you will NEED this pillow!! I do have a regular body pillow but this Pregnancy pillow is amazing! My awesome Hubby bought this for me for Mother's Day and it was thee best gift ever!! This pillow doesn't take up a ton of room in bed and the cover is machine washable! Another reason I love it is because once the baby is born I can use it for breastfeeding! Seriously, it's amazing!!
.) Prego Pops Although I was extremely lucky this time around with not getting sick, I was however very nauseous in my first trimester. These Prego Pops helped subside the nauseousness. I used these Pops with my other pregnancies too and trust me they really helped!! My favorite flavor was lemon. Buy a bunch to have around your house, car and purse!
.) Dry Shampoo Seriously moms/moms to be, you'll need some Dry Shampoo in your life. Whether this is your first pregnancy or 4th, dry shampoo is a life saver! For me there are days where I either don't have time to wash my or I'm too tired/lazy to do it. I'm a busy mom with 3 kiddos running around at home, so when I need to look decent going out the door I spray some Dry Shampoo in my hair and call it good!! I really like this Suave brand because it smells nice, gives my hair volume & my hair doesn't look greasy after applying it! I spray it on my roots, rub it in, brush it through and style...Done!!
.) ChapStick - Believe me when I say that you're lips will get chapped and start peeling...I know, not the most attractive thing. It's normal for your lips to peel during your pregnancy, because you are more prone to being dehydrated, so drink plenty of water & stock up on chapstick. My lips have chapped and peeled with every single one of my pregnancies. But with this current pregnancy I finally found thee best chapstick!! I use the ChapStick Total Hydration Coconut. It's amazing and it has healed my lips within days. I love it!!
.) Tums - Seriously, stock up on antacids!! I have had heartburn with every pregnancy, thankfully it's not so bad with this one. I prefer Tums assorted fruit flavor and Tums thankfully works for me...but choose whichever antacids works best for you (and ones that you'll be able to keep down!) (double check with your doc too)
.) Water Bottles Staying hydrated while pregnant is very important for you and your baby! You'll feel much better & most likely have more energy when you are staying hydrated. Yes, you'll be going to bathroom more often, but trust me drink a lot of water!! I wasn't staying hydrated with my 3rd pregnancy and it landed me in the hospital because I was losing weight and feeling sick. I like to use Shaker Water Bottles for my water intake because it helps me keep track of the water (I drink at least 100oz daily). I bring my water bottles everywhere. I will bring it with me in the car and I always have one on my night stand to drink throughout the night. Ladies, stay hydrated!!
.) Leggings/Yoga Pants - It's much easier to get through your pregnancy when you are wearing comfy clothes. I recommend wearing leggings, especially during your third trimester. I like to wear over the belly pants too because it doesn't cut into the bottom of my stomach, but choose whichever is most comfortable for you. I really like the leggings in the picture above...they are so comfortable! I bought them online because I had a hard time finding comfy leggings in stores. And buy more then 1 pair!
.) Snacks - If you're like me, then you're hungry all the time. I swear I'm eating every hour...probably because this little girl is taking everything from me lol. Stock up on snacks! I really love the granola bites from Costco. The costco granola bites also come in a variety pack, Chocolate Chip & Mixed Berry, both are really good! Every time I go I buy 2 packages because they won't be around forever at that store. I have 1 package in my pantry and 1 in my car/purse. Before you leave the house double check your purse for snacks! Don't make yourself sick by not eating enough.
.) Lotion Ladies, your skin is gonna stretch and it's gonna get itchy. Stock up on lotion! I use the Aveeno brand (non scented). I have really sensitive skin, so I need a lotion that is gentle on my skin & non scented. If you're prego during the winter, you're really gonna need lotion.
.) Chocolate!!!! Of course you need chocolate!! It doesn't hurt to have 1 piece of chocolate a day, right?! I'm not necessarily craving chocolate but it does help to have 1 (or 2) pieces of chocolate in the afternoon....it's a nice little pick me up! When you're pregnant you're not suppose to have a ton of caffeine, so having a little chocolate definitely helps increase your energy! Stock up!! I really loved cold Reeses peanut butter cups.
